Summer at Your Library 2025
Participate in Orange County Library System's annual Summer at Your Library: Color Our World. Gather around to explore fun activities and events at a branch near you! Programs, classes and events will continue to be offered both in-person and online. Registration starts on Thursday, May 1.
How to Participate
For youth ages 0-18, kicking off your summer reading journey is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Sign up for an OCLS card or visit any of our Orange County Library locations to register for a library card in person.
Summer fun for everyone!

Ages 0-5
Early Learners will have a blast with storytimes and activities that make learning fun! Learn, grow and connect with engaging preschool programs designed for the littlest learners.

Ages 6-12
Kids will be motivated to learn, explore and create all summer long. Participate in experiences through which children can work cooperatively and make new friends.

Ages 13-18
Teens will experience positive interactions with their peers. Register for science, art and environmentally friendly events!

Adults 18+
Adults can learn, grow and connect with the library this summer through a variety of virtual and in-person events.

Melrose Center
Programming from the Melrose Center includes photo, video, maker, performing arts and digital design classes, teaching adults and teens to engage, create and innovate.

Technology Classes
Get techie with it! Show friends and family just how savvy you are after taking fun and exciting technology classes this summer! Options are available for kids, teens and adults.

Outreach Event: Horizon West – Comedy Maks’ Variety Show

Southwest Branch (Southwest - Ask at Desk)

Historian Jerry Berg will explore the history, myth and fantasy of the katana and discuss Kendo, Kenjutsu, Koryu, Iaido and warrior samurai sword techniques of the past. Recommended for ages 13-18.

Melrose Center (Fiber Arts Studio - Second Floor)
