Yarnfiti: Stitched Together Community Art Project
"It’s graffiti, but with yarn. Yarnfiti encourages creativity, teaches sewing skills at this Florida library." - courtesy of clickorlando.com
We're celebrating fiber arts on a galactic scale! Our community-created art installation Yarnfiti: Stitched Together is back and bigger than ever, stretching across the Orange County Library Universe. The name is a combination of the words “yarn” and “graffiti” because the display is meant to be a colorful explosion of yarn in an unexpected place. Select locations will welcome visitors with a locally crafted display beginning September 21st and running through October 21st. You'll find creative outposts at the Chickasaw Branch, the North Orange Branch, the Orlando Public Library, the Southwest Branch, the Windermere Branch and the Winter Garden Branch.
