The library focuses on events that support the library’s mission and to help meet the educational or informational needs of the community. Events may be hosted at all 15 library locations. Registration may be required for planning purposes or when space or materials are limited.
The library’s event schedule is planned four months in advance.
To apply to present an event in partnership with Orange County Library System, all applicants will need to complete the following form online. Applicants will receive an automatic notification when the proposal has been submitted. Due to the volume of proposals received, the library will only contact an applicant when there is interest in sponsoring and hosting the event.
The Library Events Steering Committee oversees event presenter selection and reviews if the applicant meets the library’s guidelines and fits into our mission, schedule, and budget.
Please provide us with information about the event you would like to present at the library.
Due to the large number of author proposals we receive each year, Orlando Public Library hosts quarterly Local Author Festivals, with few exceptions. Learn more about the criteria for a standalone author event.
Please provide us with information about your most recent book publication.
You will be contacted when a spot opens up in a Local Author Festival. There is often a 4-8 month waitlist for these events.
The purpose of a library-sponsored tabling event is to enhance or complement the library’s resources to help meet the educational or informational needs of the community.
Please provide us with information about the tabling event you would like to present at the library.
