Thank you for your interest in Orange County Library System

The library focuses on events that support the library’s mission and to help meet the educational or informational needs of the community. Events may be hosted at all 15 library locations. Registration may be required for planning purposes or when space or materials are limited.

The library’s event schedule is planned four months in advance.

The library does not host:

  • Private event rentals.
  • Events of a primarily personal, political or fund-raising nature.
  • Events presented by organizations practicing discrimination based on race, color, creed, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or condition of physical ability.
  • Events intended to advertise or promote any product or service for profit.
  • Events involving religious or lobbying activities, hearings, press conferences or recurring meetings.

How to submit a proposal for an event, tabling or author visit

To apply to present an event in partnership with Orange County Library System, all applicants will need to complete the following form online. Applicants will receive an automatic notification when the proposal has been submitted. Due to the volume of proposals received, the library will only contact an applicant when there is interest in sponsoring and hosting the event.

The Library Events Steering Committee oversees event presenter selection and reviews if the applicant meets the library’s guidelines and fits into our mission, schedule, and budget.
