Can I renew my fee card when it expires?
No. Once your current fee card expires, it cannot be renewed.

Why is OCLS ending the Fee Card Program?
The annual fee no longer covers the cost of providing library services, particularly access to digital materials. Ending the program will help ensure the Library can continue providing sustainable access to its growing digital collections for Orange County residents.

Will I receive a refund for the remaining time on my fee card?
No. Existing fee cards will remain active through their expiration date, and fee card purchases are non-refundable.

Can I purchase a new fee card?
No. Starting today, July 31, 2026, OCLS is no longer offering new fee cards.

Can I continue using my current fee card?
Yes. Your fee card will remain active until its current expiration date.

Voting at the Library for the 2026 Primary and General Elections
Eleven library branches will serve as early voting sites for the 2026 Early Voting Primary Election. How do I filter my search in the catalog?

How do I borrow digital books (Libby, hoopla, etc.) through the new catalog?
When a digital title is available, youâll see which platform itâs available on (Libby, hoopla, etc.). Select “Place Hold/Borrow with Libby” or “Check Out with Hoopla” to request your title.

Can I get books delivered to my home through the new catalog?
Yes â home delivery is still available. Placing a hold on an item will default to our free home delivery service, just like the âRequest This Itemâ button in the previous catalog.
