Recycling 101- Albertson Room - Third Floor
Join Danielle from Fleet Farming for a beginner-friendly class on the basics of recycling and waste management. Learn which materials can be recycled, how to properly sort them, and the benefits of reducing waste.
About Danielle: Danielle is an educator and environmental advocate, leading food security and youth nature initiatives in the West Orlando area: Harvesting Hope and Neighborhood Naturalist. She is passionate about community, ecology, and education.
Pollinator Friendly Gardening- Cypress Room - Third Floor
If you want a garden buzzing with pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds, you won’t want to miss this informational event with the Florida Gardenista.
About Kristy: Otherwise known as the Florida Gardenista, Kristy is a fifth generation Florida gardener and farmer. She hosts community plant events and teaches gardening classes.
Incorporating Garden Herbs in Your Cooking - Albertson Room - Third Floor
Join herbalist Maggie O’Halloran in an exploration of the healing power of culinary herbs. Learn how to make herbal honeys, oils, and butters, as well as easy, delicious garden-to-table recipes.
About Maggie: As an educator, herbalist, community leader, and Executive Director for Florida School of Holistic Living, Maggie is passionate about holistic wellness, sustainable living, and empowering others through nature-based education and healing.
Honey Bees and Beekeeping - Cypress Room - Third Floor
Learn the basics of honey bees and beekeeping. What goes on in a hive? How do beekeepers do what they do? Bring questions and explore the world of honey bees.
About Kathleen: Kathleen Cavanagh has been keeping honey bees for eight years and is a Master Beekeeper through the University of Florida’s Master Beekeeper program. She’s an officer in the Orange Blossom Beekeepers Association.

Interested in composting and creating “living” soil? Join Erik from O-Town Compost to learn the steps to compost and reduce your food waste.
About Erik: Erik Amnott helps keep O-Town Compost's Trucks humming along as their Fleet Manager. He comes from The Culinary world and is passionate about building healthy communities, local farming, and growing food at home.
