The Orange County Library System is inviting the public to join Yarnfiti: Stitched Together, its annual community art installation, where fiber artists of all kinds, including knitters, crocheters, macramé artists, sewers, weavers, embroiderers, and more, come together to create a collaborative public art display.

The needs of the homeless community in Orlando go beyond the provision of a place to sleep and shelter from the extreme temperatures. Many of the things that most people take for granted — whether it is access to health care, an identification document, career assistance, legal services, consistent meals or mental health counseling — are things that those experiencing homelessness do not have.
