What do the statuses mean on my requested items?

When viewing items on your holds list, the following statuses may appear for an item:

Checked out

The item is checked out to another patron. Once returned, the status will change to in transit. (Once a requested item is checked out to your account, it moves from your Holds list to your Items Checked Out list.)

Check shelves

The item should be on the shelf. A search for the item by staff is in progress. Once located, the status will change to in transit.

# of #

Your request has not yet been matched up with a particular copy of the title, because there are presently no copies available. The first number indicates where you are on the list, and the second number represents how many people are waiting for available copies. Once your request is matched with a copy, the status will change to in transit.

In transit

The item has been located for you. It is on its way to Special Services, or is in line in Special Services, where it will be checked out to your account and prepared for delivery. A requested item may remain in transit for several days before moving from your Holds list to your Items Checked Out list.

Hold

Another patron is waiting for a copy of this title. When an item or a title has others waiting then the item will not be eligible for renewal.

Withdrawn

The item has been withdrawn from the collection. Please notify us if you have a hold that is showing on a withdrawn item.
