Where can I find informational videos to stream or download?

Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center

Videos in Ferguson’s can be found in the Job and Industry Profiles and Job-Hunting and Workplace Skills sections. Just look for “Browse Videos” to access over 500 videos on careers and workplace skills are available. Videos include techniques for landing a job, tips for advancing in your current job, and on the job career profiles from carpenter to zoologist.

Health & Wellness Resource Center

Whether you are preparing for surgery or educating yourself on treatment options, these online videos offer consumers medical information from the Healthology video service. Subjects include details on specific medical conditions such as ADHD or osteoporosis as well as preventive health information such as choosing the right sunscreen and healthy skills for your grill. Enter your subject in the search box and select the video tab to view videos related to your search.

Science Online

Choose from a wide variety of videos on science including Astronomy, Biology, Computer Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Space or search selections by keyword and time period. Watch historical videos such as Apollo 14 Crew Play Golf and Plant U.S. Flag on the Moon and educational videos such as Aquatic Biomes or Biological Aspects of Biotechnology. Select the “Videos and Animations” link in Science Online to begin your video selection.

Standard Deviants Collection

The Standard Deviants collection of streaming videos is available remotely from your home or office and contains videos on Math and English as a Second Language.

Math topics include basic math, pre-algebra, alegebra, and SAT prep. English as a Second Language topics include pronouns, adjectives, present tense, prepositions, days and times, possessives, and adverbs, among other parts of speech.
