The 2026 Melrose Film Festival submission process is now open. Melrose Film Festival highlights the work of imaginative filmmakers across the globe and filmmakers are encouraged to submit their digital entries now through May 1 at https://filmfreeway.com/MelroseFilmFestival. Entries are accepted from all filmmakers, but Florida filmmakers may submit one film free of charge by emailing melrosefilmfestival@ocls.org with proof of Florida residency.

Categories include AI Shorts, Animated Shorts, Documentaries, Micro Short Films and Short Films. All entries must be 10 minutes or less and adhere to festival rules. Complete rules may be found at https://filmfreeway.com/MelroseFilmFestival.

A celebration of the art of visual storytelling in short films, the 2026 Melrose Film Festival will take place in-person on Saturday, September 26 in the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation & Creativity at Orlando Public Library and will feature screenings of selected films. Special consideration will be given to filmmakers in the state of Florida, and winning films may be broadcast on local television.
