My name is Patrice Florence-Walker, and it has been an amazing honor to have served as manager of Eatonville Branch since 2007. The staff and I invite you to help us celebrate this milestone on Saturday, January 25,
10 a.m.–2 p.m. Our 15th Anniversary celebration will feature fun events for all ages such as storytelling, crafts, face painting for children, FREE DAPS, Music in the Library, a prize raffle and more.
Eatonville Branch opened its doors on January 22, 2005 and proudly serves the Eatonville community. While the branch was initially designed as a children’s library, it now offers materials and resources for all ages.
I’m proud of my staff for the many great services provided to our customers. Events at Eatonville Branch include weekly storytimes, afterschool events for tweens and teens, fun and educational adult programming, and technology/STEM classes for children ages 6 to 12. We aim to be an integral part of the Eatonville community to help our customers learn, grow, connect.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my 33 years with Orange County Library System, the last 12 years spent at Eatonville Branch. Thank you to a wonderful staff and Orange County Library System for allowing me to serve as the manager of a branch in a community with such rich history and future opportunities. My thought as I prepare to retire after our celebration is that I hope something I did or said has impacted your life in a way that you will forever be changed and encouraged.
My staff and I look forward to seeing you and celebrating 15 wonderful years on Saturday, January 25. Celebrate with us!
