Reaching Out: A Community Resource Fair

Reaching Out: A Community Resource Fair

Now, more than ever, understanding how to navigate social services and assistance programs is vital. Even in the best of circumstances, figuring out how to connect with organizations that can help with accessing unemployment benefits, healthcare resources, food subsidy, and more is overwhelming. That’s why Orange County Library System is proud to present the second annual Reaching Out: A Community Resource Fair.

This year, the Fair has gone virtual. Attendees will learn about participating organizations through a live presentation streamed on both the library’s Facebook and Youtube page. After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to get answers to their questions during a live Q&A. Each organizations information will also be posted so viewers can reach out to specific groups after the Fair ends. We are grateful to welcome Agency for Persons with Disabilities, The Center, Miracle of Love and United Against Poverty as participants in this year’s Reaching Out. Andre Morris, social worker at the library, will also be featured and explain the services that he provides to the community.

OCLS strives to add to our community’s quality of life by fostering a safe learning environment. In these challenging times, it is essential to offer the educational opportunities that Reach Out provides. The library is committed to offering these and other events, even if it means presenting them in new and different ways.
