Orlando Game Jam and Gaming Expo Returns February 19-22

Orlando Public Library’s Melrose Center is eagerly preparing for the 2026 Orlando Game Jam and Gaming Expo, coming February 19-22 with bigger cash prizes, a new secret theme and exciting networking opportunities.

We’re looking forward to hosting talented and passionate game designers and developers for this year’s events and would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our incredible sponsors for their generous support of the Orlando Game Jam.

This event would not be possible without the commitment and enthusiasm of Unity, the Orlando Unity Developers Group, the Orlando Unreal Engine Community, EA Tiburon, Indienomicon, M3D, and the Friends of the Orange County Library System. Contributions from these generous groups help us provide resources, food, learning opportunities, and an inspiring environment for creators to collaborate and innovate. Thank you for investing in our local developer community and helping us empower the next generation of game creators.

We invite interested developers and creators to register and take part at ocls.org/gamejam. There will be an information session Thursday evening to form teams and learn the secret theme.  Teams begin working on their games that night and continue that night and during special extended hours until Sunday morning, using Melrose Center resources. Melrose Center equipment includes four game development workstations, services dedicated to the use of virtual reality and game design resources, a simulator development rig, one sound booth, one editing bay, a 165” seamless LED wall for collaboration, and the Melrose Conference Room.

Everyone is invited to experience The Orlando Gaming Expo Sunday, February 22, from 1-5:30 p.m. Attendees can play games, give feedback, network with game developers and industry professionals and vote to determine the Game Jam winners. Exhibitors can sign up for a free Expo spot at ocls.org/Orlando-gaming-expo.

We hope to see you later this month!
