1.  Frozen Fudge Pops from The Joy of Cooking

What better way to beat the heat than with a frozen fudge pop?  This Joy of Cooking recipe is no-frills and easy to follow. If you enjoyed this recipe from The Joy of Cooking, or want to try some of the other Joy of Cooking recipes, check out these books from the library’s catalog.
 

2.  Crispy Chocolate-Marshmallow Treats from Martha Stewart

Martha’s take on the classic Rice Crispy treat uses cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate to amp up the flavor.Want more of Martha Stewart? With your library card, you can read Martha Stewart Living through Zinio for Libraries or check out one of her many books.

3. No-Bake Chocolate-Peanut Butter Candy Bars from Betty Crocker

 

These yummy bars are perfect for anyone who loves chocolate and peanut butter. Did you know that the first Betty Crocker cookbook was published in 1950? The library has numerous Betty Crocker cookbooks available for checkout.

Thanksgiving Closure

Orange County Library System will be closed starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 and remain closed through Friday, November 29 in observance of Thanksgiving. The library system will resume normal business hours on Saturday, November 30. Learn more about library closures >

Upcoming Southwest Branch Closure

Southwest Branch will be closed Monday, December 2 through Thursday, December 5 for replacement of the HVAC system. The book drop will remain open. We plan to reopen for normal business hours on Friday, December 6.
